Our 3 classes are Class Y1/2SJ taught by Mrs Savage and Mrs Jessop, Class Y1/2LF taught by Miss Lang and Mrs Fox, and Class Y1/2A taught by Miss Aspinwall. These classes will be supported by Miss Galloway, Mrs Clarke, Mrs Bainbridge and Miss Dobson.
After a busy Autumn term, we have lots of learning to look forward to this Spring term. In Maths, Year 1 will focus on place value and measurement. Year 2 will begin their learning on multiplication and division and develop their learning on money and time. In English, over the Spring term, we will be looking at 4 lovely books and creating a range of writing pieces.
In the Spring term our overall topic is the Natural World. We will be learning about important historic figures David Attenborough and Alfred Wainwright and how they have helped our world and local area. In Geography we will look at the rainforests and animals of the rainforests. This will link to our Science topic on Classifying Animals. Also, we will begin our Windermere Reflections unit, where we will have a trip to walk down to Millerground and explore Lake Windermere and how we can help look after it.
