Summer Term
Summer term is already looking to be busy and exciting.
The Key Stage 1 team consists of Lauren Aspinwall, Gemma Thwaites, Kath Savage and Kimberley Jessop. Zoe Birkett will continue as our final year student and we will see Emily Lang return too!
We are looking forward to starting our work on Roald Dahl. We will explore the texts of Fantastic Mr Fox, Charlie and The Chocolate factory and George's Marvellous Medicine. This will link with our History and Geography work as we find out about the history of chocolate and where it originated from.
Key Stage 1 have a trip to Brockhole planned with a ride on the boat too. Here we will investigate habitats, birds and explore food chains. We know that Miss Galloway can't wait to go and share her knowledge of birds with us all!
Year 1 will carry out their phonics screening assessment in June. This is nothing to be worried about as the team have been busy getting ready for this in school time.
