Understanding the World:

Our curriculum is designed to ensure that children are immersed in a range of experiences to develop a better sense of their world and their place in it. We know that formative experiences shape young people, so our curriculum gives them opportunities to learn about their own cultures and communities and the world beyond their own perspective. Through trips, visitors and through themed days where children learn about different people and places of work, our children begin to compare and think critically about the present world they live in and the world they experience through stories and learning about the past. Through this, children understand the importance of inclusion, empathy and looking after the world in which they live.
