Our School Day
Here is an outline of our school day here at St Martin and St Mary Church of England Primary School.
Our Reception (Early Years Foundation Stage) and our Year 1 and 2 children (Key Stage 1) spend much of their day 'downstairs' in the lower section of our school. Our children in Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 (Key Stage 2) do most of their learning 'upstairs'. This is, of course, when they are not learning outside. For children in main school (Reception to Year 6) our timetable totals 32.5 hours of curriculum learning and breaks each week. This total does not include after school clubs or wrap around care.

Pre-School & Nursery
9.00am – 12.00pm | Morning Session |
12.15pm – 3.15pm | Afternoon Session |
Reception and Years 1 & 2
8.45am | Our school doors open and children are welcomed into school |
10.30am | Morning break |
10.50am | Break ends and the learning continues |
12.00pm | Time for lunch |
1.10pm | Lunchtime ends and children return to class |
3.20pm | The school day ends and children can be collected from our school doors |
Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 – Key Stage 2
8.40am | Our school doors open and children are welcomed into school |
10.30am | Morning break |

12.00pm | Time for lunch |
1.00pm | Lunchtime ends and children return to class |
